Amphotericin B (also referred as Fungizone™) is an antimycotic agent which is effective against fungi and yeasts. Amphotericin B binds with ergosterol and interferes with the cell membrane permeability of sensitive fungi and yeasts. The channels in the cell membrane cause leakage of cytoplasmic content leading to fungal death. A011 is a sterile solution formulated to contain 250µg Amphotericin B per ml of cell culture grade water.
