Detailed product information
Background information
The monoclonal antibody recognizes a non-polymorphic determinant of the MHC class II antigen RT1B, the rat homolog of the murine I-A antigen. MHC class II (RT1B) is expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs), notably on B cells, dendritic cells, and on most monocytes and macrophages where it is up-regulated upon activation. After activation, epithelial cells, endothelial cells as well as microglia and NK cells also become MHC class II
+
.
Downstream applications
Isolated MHC class II
+
cells can be used for functional assays on antigen presentation and T cell stimulation. Additionally, Anti‑MHC Class II MicroBeads can be used for the enrichment of untouched T cells from lymph nodes by depletion of MHC class II
+
cells.
