CD144 (VE-Cadherin) MicroBeads, human

CD144 (VE-Cadherin) MicroBeads have been developed for the positive selection or depletion of CD144 endothelial cells from differentiated ES or iPS cell cultures.

Quantity
CD144, also known as VE-Cadherin or Cadherin-5, is a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules. The antigen is expressed on endothelial cells
in vivo
 and
in vitro1,2
and has been used for the isolation of endothelial cells derived from embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells
2,3,4
. It is known to be involved in homophilic cell interactions contributing to the cohesion and organization of the intercellular junctions of the vascular endothelium and thought to play a role in vascular permeability and remodeling. CD144 MicroBeads react with a calcium-independent epitope on CD144.
